Penang Foods at Penang Place Restaurant are Delicious and Authentic
I like their char kuey teow which probably is the best char kuey teow in town
When we talk about Penang foods, first thing came out of our mind must be Penang Laksa or Assam Laksa. Do you agree with me?
I am sure you will fall in love with the laksa once you tried its clear & sour soup. Many places sell Penang Laksa in Singapore but if you want to try a good one, you shall go to Penang Place Restaurant.
Here, you’ll find the authentic Assam Laksa complete with its unique black sauce. I like the freedom they offered to customers which allow us mixing and matching the ingredients to go along with the Laksa soup.
Other authentic Penang foods such as prawn mee, lor bak, cuttlefish kangkong, ju hu chay, and char kuey teow can also be found in this restaurant.
To me, the most delicious food served here would be the char kuey teow.
The char kuey teow cooked with special sauce, duck egg, bean sprout, and cockles. It smells so good, delicious, and most importantly it’s taste right - not too sweet or too salty. I think their char kuey teow could be one of the best char kuey teow in town.
Now, let me show you the pictures of the foods at Penang Place restaurant:
Let me now share a tip for ordering the Penang foods at Penang Place Restaurant.
Basically, you have to make a quick decision when you go there whether you want to go for ala-carte menu or going for the buffet.
For the big eater, I am sure buffet is the best choice. You’ll get value for money – you can taste everything as much as you can.
But for those who can only eat a little of food, please choose one dish you like and that’s it for you. My recommendation would be the char kuey teow of course. It will cost you about S$8.00/ plate compared to the buffet which is S$21.80++ per person for dinner.
Base on my experience, those small eaters will feel satisfy with the restaurant signature dish - char kuey teow which probably is the best char kuey teow in town. I don’t think you can eat other foods like prawn mee, laksa, nasi lemak, etc, which we normally eat it as a stand-alone meal during lunch or dinner.
