Henderson Waves - The Highest Pedestrian Bridge in Singapore
The only bridge with sculptural structure

Henderson Waves, the highest pedestrian bridge in Singapore is a new outing spot that soon becoming the talk in the town because of its unusual shape.

What do you think when someone talking about crossing road bridge? It must be a boring one, right? But, it’s not for this bridge.

My husband and I went there in May, few days after the opening ceremony. I was thrilled for being able to stand firm in an open space on the highest point of 36m from Henderson road.

I felt save walking on the warm timber deck which surrounded by the curved steel balustrade.

The bridge is really beautiful with its giant wave structures.

Everyone who have ever seen the picture or have an experience walking on this bridge will be astonished with its sculptural structures.

The wavy shape of the bridge is like a statue carved by a world-class artist. Do you agree with me?

Here is the picture of the bridge:

Spanned at 274m long with undulating curved steel ribs under the bridge deck which rose over alternately, the bridge provides smooth gradual height increment made everyone including handicapped and elderly able to climb about total 20m height easily.

You won’t feel tired walking on it!

When is the best time to go there?

I would prefer to go there in the morning between 7.00am to 9.00am to enjoy fresh and cooler wind.

You’ll start see the crowd of the visitors in the middle of the day.

If you prefer to go there in the evening, make sure you are there between 7.00pm to 11.30pm. It’s a time when the orange LED light switched on creating a beautiful shadows of the rib structures.
