Our neighbor traveling to USA recently and being asked by some people there: "where is Singapore?" Ouch…we thought we are famous after chosen as a host of the first Formula One night race. It’s not really, right?
Well, let us show you where Singapore is.
Singapore is actually laid at approximately 137 km (82 miles) north of the Equator. So, you’ll experience a plentiful rainfall, and high, high humidity here.
With the approximately land size of 699 sq. km after some land reclamations, we are still a smallest country in Southeast Asia. Probably our country is not bigger than half of London.
Therefore, we are understood if you can’t find Singapore in the world map. Even so, you may only see the Red Dot in the map.
History recorded the Chinese envoy, K’ang T’ai in 3rd century mentioned about P’u Luo Chung in Chinese referring to Malay Pulau Ujong, or "island at the end of the peninsula" depicted the location of this island-country.
